Mangueira, 1993 A mango tree, tubes of polyethylene and water This work was conceived to this special location. It was hanging from a mango tree that in Portuguese is called Mangueira, the same name that we also call this kind of tubes. They were filled with water and hanged in a way to keep a fragile balance without being fixed on the tree but simple going over its branches. Their extremities were ending in a pond and beautifully mirroring and doubling the image of the whole. |

In this piece what especially attracted me was to work according to the measures and changeable conditions of the tree and its surroundings, differently then working in a room where the architecture is already a given rational data. | |||||
