Bom dia / Boa tarde (Good morning / good afternoon), 2002

Two walls of bricks in a semi-circle shape

The two walls were built (see drawing) in order to create a „territory of strangeness“ right in the entrance of the museum. This piece was done for an exhibition that had the slum as a theme (Morro/Labirinto), or better saying, it was the result of a period of conviviality between the artists and the community of slums in Rio de Janeiro.

It is interesting to add that the work caused so much impact that there were even protests of deputies and other people against this construction next to a museum, bringing the discussion about the theme to a very interesting point.
